Works:
We have submitted an application for a Environment Agency Fisheries Improvement Grant which is match funded to replace four fishing platforms this summer. Three platforms are for our Emstrey Fishery and another platform for Sydney Avenue.
In the Quarry our contractors have worked recently with the help of Shrewsbury Town Council to remove overgrown trees from the fishing platforms. This involved some extensive work to make the platforms opened up again and fishable. We would like to thank our contractors Tony and Bob and the Shrewsbury Town Council Team for all their help.
On our pools in the next few days we shall be adding barley concentrated liquid to help protect against algae blooms to protect water quality during the summer months. Radbrook and Oxon Pools tend to be problematic during the hot summer periods we have been experiencing.
Permits:
From 1st April there will be two changes with respect to permit fees.
Day tickets for the Town Waters and also Emstrey coarse permit will increase in price from £8 to £9 per day.
The Season Salmon and Coarse Emstrey 12 month Permit will increase from £35 to £40.
All other permit prices remain the same.
We would ask all anglers when purchasing a day or full season permit to complete your details in full including your name and surname , full postal address including postcode and valid rod licence number with exception to some junior anglers.
