It has been brought to our attention that some recently felled ash dieback and other timber has been removed without permission in the woodland areas around our pools. Shrewsbury Town Council Countryside Team carry out this work and stack timbers for the benefit of the wildlife and therefore help protect the environment. Our fisheries team of water keepers do from time to time do additional works around the pool with consent from the Council.
Please do not remove this timber from these habitats as it is classed as theft.
If you see anyone removing or cutting timber on our fisheries would you please contact The Countryside Team
jim.goldsmith@shrewsburytowncouncil.gov.uk or our fisheries by the contact page via our website. Let’s protect nature.
