Earlier today I was informed of the passing of a lovely man, Mr Barry Archer. Barry was a hard working man and for those of you who may not know he was responsible for most of the contract work, installing and maintaining the fishing platforms, including all the Quarry,County Ground and Sydney Avenue, along with a host of other different tasks on the fisheries. These are for which enables you, the angler, to enjoy your fishing from past and until present. He owned Dorset Pools. Nothing was too much trouble when I picked up the phone.I know that his respected work will continue with his dedicated team. I will miss our conversations and I know you were a fighter. You will be remembered by many for all that you’ve done. There is so much. From the angling community, Shrewsbury Town Council and myself, god bless you and may you rest in peace. I know you will be watching over us.
