Due to the extreme weather temperatures we are closing all of our fisheries, River Sections County Ground, The Quarry, Sydney Avenue, Monkmoor, Emstrey and the Reabrook.
Also our Pools, Radbrook, Mousecroft and Oxon with immediate effect up until SUNDAY MORNING 28th June 2026.
Some water temperatures taken this afternoon are as follows:
The River Severn 23.1c
Radbrook Pool 27.7c
Oxon Pool 29.5c
Mousecroft Pool 26.4c
River Reabrook 24.1c
We anticipate that all these water temperatures will rise and we must give the fish a break to minimise any stress levels and give them a rest.
In addition personal safety for anglers must also be respected.
Salmon and Pike fishing will continue to be suspended until the river temperature drops below 20c. A further notice will confirm when this particular suspension will be lifted.
Any anglers who have purchased day tickets during this closure may contact us via our email info@shrewsburytownfisheries.co.uk
and we will re-date your day tickets.
As we are likely to get more extreme weather conditions, we ask all anglers to keep an eye on our website and Facebook pages for any likely closure or information.
Thank you for your understanding.

Fisheries Coordinator
