New River Season:
With the new river season approaching we wish all anglers a cracking new season. Fishing starts at dawn on Tuesday morning 16th June.
Anglers should not be arriving until just before dawn on all of our river fisheries.
Please park sensibly in the permitted areas and respect the local residents.
Do not park opposite the beach area at Sydney Avenue as this area is used by the Emergency Services to launch the rescue boat as they may need immediate access.
Close all gates after you. Take care with the gate locks. The gate code numbers go across the top of the dials. The gate codes are for anglers access to our waters and must not be disclosed to anyone else.
Please keep the noise down to respect local residents.
Make sure you take all your litter, waste tackle and bait home with you. We have a zero tolerance. Please protect the environment.
Please ensure you are carrying your required permit for inspection by our water bailiffs. They carry an authorised ID badge and please respect our fisheries staff.
We do not sell Day Tickets or Season Permits on the banks. They must be purchased online via our website prior to going fishing on any of our fisheries. Any anglers fishing without a valid permit will be asked to leave.
Ensure you read the updated fisheries rules and conditions as there are specific’s for some of our fisheries.
Fisheries Works:
Our contractors have been very busy strimming around the river and pools platforms and making repairs throughout our river sections, Monkmoor, Emstrey and Sydney Avenue and also the pools.
Recently we have completed works to replace a platform at Sydney Avenue and three replacement platforms at Emstrey are to follow. These platforms have been match funded after a successful bid for an Environment Agency FIP grant fund. We would like to thank Harry, Dave and Shannon for all their help and it is appreciated. Further updates will be posted as we progress with these projects.
Finally, we have already spoken to two individuals who decided to go fishing on the river for barbel in the last two days. Both claimed they didn’t know about the close season.
It’s in the first few lines of our rules and conditions. Please read them.
Enjoy your fishing and Tight Lines.
